| Office Depot donates 200 backpacks to Voices For Children On August 3, 2005, Tania P. Rodriguez, Development Director for Voices For Children Foundation, attended a ceremony at the Office Depot store in Coral Gables where she was presented with a backpack representing the 200 the company donated for the children served by the GAL Program. Celebrating the beginning of the school year, Office Depot hosted “Backpack Donation Day” with six events throughout South Florida. The company donated 25,000 backpacks to more than 90 non-profit organizations that work with disadvantaged children. Qualified non-profit organizations were asked to submit requests through Office Depot’s Community Relations Website. Voices For Children was among the selected recipients. |
